Anna Frozen Cake

A work friend asked me if I would make her daughters Anna cake, at first I said no, then ended up giving in, even the my inner thoughts were saying “Don’t do it”! As you may know I do get a little stressed making fondant presentation cakes specially when there is an expectation on how the cake should look. Frozen Anna Cake

I do like making doll cakes, as they are fun. This Anna doll cake was a little more difficult as needed to match Anna’s outfit.

Once cooled, slice into 3, ideally you should use a cake leveler if you have one, I just eye bawled it and as you can see I didn’t it right!

Make up some vanilla butter cream using butter, vanilla and icing sugar. Jam and buttercream the layers, and stack the cake back up. Then buttercream the outside of the cake to help the fondant icing to stick.

Colour and roll out the icing, then cover the cake. This doesn’t need to be prefect as it’s the dress of Anna.Using a plastic washed and clean Anna doll, wrapping the lower body in cling film and insert her into the cake.

Slowly layer up the elements of the dress, by wrapping coloured fondant around the body.
