Do you like Japaleno Poppers? If so, you will love this creamy goodness. It’s a great party food if you like it spicy! A mixture of jalapenos and cream cheese is a perfect combination!
200g Cream Cheese
50g Chopped Jalapenos
100g Grated Cheese (Mix of Cheddar, Red Leicester and Chilli/Mexicana Cheese if available)
1/2 Tsp Dried Parsley
30g Melted Butter
In a mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, mayonnaise, chopped Jalapenos, mixed grated cheese ( I used cheddar & chilli red Leicester), 1/2 of the Parmesan and parsley.
Mix for about 1 minute on medium speed
Spread the mixture into a oven proof baking dish and set aside.In a Food processor add bread crumbs ( if you don’t have any bread crumbs, then grab a couple of slices of bread, toast lightly and blitz in a food processor), add remaining parmesan and melted butter.
Blitz briefly in the food processor.
Sprinkle the cheesy bread crumb mixture over the cream cheese mixture, ready to bake. You can either bake straight away, or prepare before hand and keep in the fridge until ready to bake.
Bake in the oven at 200c for about 15-20 minutes, until the top starts to go golden brown and serve straight away with tortilla chips, baked bread, crudites, bread sticks or even baked pitta chips!
