Bran Granola Bars

Bran Granola bars are great low gi snack with lasting energy. I made these to take on our little India trip for the flight and travel.IMG_9123

My daughter ended up eating on most of this before we even got half way through our journey, as they are slightly sweet, fruity and crunchy.IMG_9124

These bars are high in fiber due to the bran and dried fruits giving extra goodness and with no added sugar.IMG_9125

75g all bran
75g oat Bran
75g oats
30g Dates
30g apricots
30g cranberries
30g sultanas
5g stevia/truvia
15g butter
50ml honey
100g peanut butter crunchy


Add oat bran, all bran and oats to a large bowl


Add chopped apricots, dates, sultanas and cranberries to the bowlIMG_9104

Add truvia to the bowl and mix well.IMG_9105

To a small pan add peanut butter, butter and honey.IMG_9106

Heat until completely melted.IMG_9107

Pour into the granola mix IMG_9108

Stir wellIMG_9109

Press into a lined baking trayIMG_9118

Bake at 170c for 15-20 minutes.IMG_9119Allow to cool and slice into smaller pieces
