My daughters favourite breakfast item is brioche, so why not try to make a homemade one!
Ingredients:
350g Strong white flour
1/2 tsp salt
15g fast acting yeast
60ml Warm milk
3 Eggs
175g Butter
25g Caster sugar
Mix the flour, salt and yeast together.
Add in the warm milk and mix for a minute.
Add the eggs and re-mix for a further minute.
Add in the butter and mix with the dough hook for about 3 minutes until all is mixed together well.
Allow to rise in a warm place for about 2 hours, then knock out the air and place in the fridge overnight.
Put the dough in a loaf tin and using a pastry brush cover with a beaten egg and allow to rise again for a further 90mins. Then bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 230c, turn down the oven to 180c and bake for 25minutes.
Slice and enjoy – I had a happy little girl!
She wants me to now try a chocolate chip version!
