So here are extra special brownies, extra special, because they’re stuffed with Bounty bars! These are absolutely full of moist coconuttyness of Bounty’s and the ooey gooey chocolate brownie.
The idea came to when one of my work colleagues was leaving to heading off to a new opportunity, her favourite chocolate bar is a Bounty and she always liked a good brownie so I decided to mush them together and beat up a Bounty Brownie!
Coconut and Chocolate seemed to be a match made in the kitchen and of course in a Brownie! Generally a Bounty is not a bar I tend to grab, but in this brownie it really works well.
Ingredients
140g Butter
200g Dark Chocolate
300g Caster Sugar
3 Eggs
150g Self Raising Flour
3 Full Size Bounty Bars
Instructions
Add the butter and dark chocolate into a microwave proof bowl.
Heat for 30 seconds at a time until the chocolate is fully melted.
Add the caster sugar to the chocolate mixture and stir well.
Add in the eggs to the chocolate batter.
Beat the egg in until you see a sheen to on the batter.
Add flour to the brownie batter.
Fold in the flour to the brownie batter.
Add in 2/3 of the bounty chopped into smaller pieces to the brownie batter.
Pour the brownies batter into a greased baking tin.
Scatter the remaining bounty pieces over the top of the batter.
Baking the brownie for 30-35 minutes at 170c then remove from the oven.
Allow the brownie to cool and then slice into 16 pieces.
