You don’t even need to roll them in any raw cacao, but it is a very nice touch to add some healthy indulgent chocolate flavour without any chocolate.

 Raw cacao is basically the remains of the cacao seed after the cocoa butter is extracted. Raw cacao is supercharged with magnesium and flavanoids, which makes it good for you inside and out. Cacao beans are rich in a number of essential minerals, including magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium and manganese.

For my birthday I took in some peanut butter brownies and cinnamon spiced cupcakes to work, but to balance the sweet treats I decided to add some of these pumpkin healthy balls to balance the good vs bad. You will be surprised to know that actually these disappeared before the brownies and cupcakes! Yes, people at work were first skeptical, however they went back for seconds, thirds and forth!

The Pumpkin healthy balls are lovely and moist due to the pumpkin purée add a lovely texture to the balls, which do make a lovely texture.

Ingredients
200g Dried packed Dates
100g Sultanas
25g Dried Cranberries
1 Tsp Desiccated Coconut
40g Cashews
40g Oats
1 Tbsp Raw Cacao
100ml Pumpkin Puree
Raw Cacao for rolling

Instructions

Pumpkin Healthy Balls

Into a food processor add dates, sultanas, cranberries, coconut, cashews, oats, pumpkin and cacao.

Blitz are high-speed until a dough forms 

Pumpkin Healthy Balls

Using a small scoop place some dough into your hands and shape into a ball.

Roll until it forms a smooth ball.

Place the balls onto baking paper on a plate and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Pumpkin Healthy Balls

Remove from the fridge, and roll the balls in raw cacao.
