Food gifts are usually something that everyone loves, specially when they are homemade. This year for end of school year, I decided to make fruit butters ( please see earlier posts Pineapple Mango Fruit Butter, Mango Plum Fruit Butter and Pineapple & Plum Fruit Butter) and my Mug Cookie Jar to give to the teachers and teaching assistants.
I love making end of year and Christmas presents for the teachers specially when they are homemade. I used to give out baked goods, but then preferred the idea of something they can make or have in their own time not within a week of school ending.
I really enjoy giving the jar variety whether it’s a fruit butter or jam or even a semi prepared baking or cooking ingredients like cookies of cakes which can then be made afterwards.
I wrapped these little gems up with a star designed cello bag and red ribbon ties, and found some small wooden spoons from Amazon to tie along with the instructions/labels to add a slightly more homely feel.
To keep all the jar sizes universal I purchases in bulk jars from Ebay which made it easier to keep the presents all uniform.
