My little muppets are off to a Halloween camp this year with Beavers and Cubs on Halloween. Usually the scouts ask for biscuits or cakes and so in my usual manner I decided to bake some treats.
Chocolate cup cakes with some children friendly Halloween sprinkles was the perfect idea!
According to WIKI, Halloween also known as Allhalloween is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. It initiates the triduum of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers. Within Allhallowtide, the traditional focus of All Hallows’ Eve revolves around the theme of using “humor and ridicule to confront the power of death.”
Recently out shopping I found some very cute Halloween cup cake cases with stick decorations – which went perfectly with my little idea of using green icing over chocolate cake.
This recipe made 24 cakes, which I do hope is enough for the camp
