It’s that time of year, end of school year. For the last few years I’ve been making seasonal fruit Jam. So today I decide to try Plum and Apple Jam.
600g Plums ( after de-stoning and de-skinning)
250g Apples ( after peeled and chopped)
1 Juice of Lemon
De stone and peel the plums into a larger saucepan.
Add the chopped apples, sugar and water.
Over medium to high heat cook the apples and plums until it comes into a rolling boiling.
Once boiling, boil for 15mins Add a knob of butter to help remove the scrum from the top
Pour into Sterilised jars by washing in hot water, place in the oven at 140-150c for 20mins.
Fill the jars
Tightly close the jars with the lid and place back in the oven for 20minutes to seal the jars.
Great presents and kids love it.
