Rose Cake

Rose cake

5 eggs
10 oz Butter
10 oz Flour self-raising
10 oz Caster Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Rose Extract
2 tbsp Rose syrup

Mix all the ingredients together and bake in the oven for 30-35 mins at 180c in 2 9 inch square cake tins.

Frosting and Filling:
200 g Butter
Icing SUgar
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp rose syrup
3 tbsp pistachio nuts ground
2 tbsp rose petal paste
3 tbsp strawberry Jam

Mix together the rose petal paste and strawberry jam, and spread evenly over 1 of the cakes.

Mix beat together the butter, milk, rose syrup and icing sugar to make butter cream frosting.

Mix together in a small bowl 1/2 cup of butter cream and ground pistachio and spread on the other cake. Sandwich both cakes together, and cover and decorate the rest of the cake with butter cream.

As long as you love rose, you will love this cake – my mum did!x
