So after an amazing day at Legoland Windsor with the children we ventured into Windsor for some dinner! After googling a few places thought we would head into town!
We saw some good reviews for Francesco and as we walked towards the restaurant it looks very quaint and lovely inside, With an authentic Italian host we decided to try it.
Well I’m so glad we did – as the food was amazing!
We started with some garlic bread and garlic bread and cheese. They both had actual fresh pieces of garlic in the bread which was very good! Having a rather cheesetastic husband he enjoyed the amount of cheese on the garlic bread!
I had a Quattro Stagioni Pizza on a traditional base which had fresh asparagus, sweet corn, artichoke, olives and mushroom. I didn’t think I’d finish it but after tasting it I couldn’t stop eating it!
The kids had the pizza Napolitana – which is a basic cheese and tomato between them which they devoured between them.
We salad a side salad (Mista) which was lovely and fresh shared between us all.
My husband had a Calzone- however eaten it by the time I tried to take a picture! He had ordered a small one however was so good wishes he had gone for the large.
The food in general had a very authentic feel and taste with the use of fresh ingredients! The pizza dough was definitely freshly made.
I would give this restaurant 9/10 thumbs up! It was good value for money and if you come off peak then they also take tastecard! We unfortunately came on a Friday night so wasn’t valid!
We did end up skipping dessert as had to be rolled out!
