Homemade easy peasy Parathas – yum yum.

Start with:

Medium Flour 2 cups

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp dried onion

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp dried coriander

1/2 tsp salt

Warm water

Place all the dry ingredients into a mixer, and add oil. Start mixing slowly – then slowly add the warm water until a dough forms. Knead for 5mins.

Then make separate and make small balls (large gobstopper size). Start rolling out the dough, until about 6 inches. Then put a little oil and sprinkle of flour to 1/2 half. Fold in half, and repeat. Should end up with a triangle type shape. Roll out again to about 6-8 inches.

Place on to a slightly oiled medium heat flat fry pan/griddle, allow to cook for 30 secs of so, and flip the paratha. Brush on a little more oil if needed. and cook until both sides are browned and cooked.

Now time to eat – enjoy with some chutney, on its own or even ketchup!!
